  1. English language news on traffic is auto-centric to the point of useless, add to that the fact that most journalists and much of the public has no grasp of statistics. The statistics on the increased rate of accidents entirely mirror the increased number of cyclists in Japan, and to compare the cyclists accident rate in Japan to N.America and Europe without mentioning that there are multiples of the riders...
